Hope

In my quiet time today this thought from 2 Corinthians 4 was encouraging and so I wanted to share.

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Be encouraged that there is hope for the future. What we see, hear and are experiencing today is difficult, hard, challenging and scary. For me,  the hardest part is the not-knowing. No one telling us 6 more weeks and everything will be back to normal. The not-knowing is where my faith is really challenged. I like control and predictability but I’m learning to trust. I cannot fix it so all I can do is trust and pray that the solution is on the way. While I wait and pray, how can I help those around me? How can I turn my eyes off me and look to others that need way more than me and could use some hope, companionship and help.
