“I consider the success of my day based on the seeds I sow, not the harvest I reap.”
Robert Lewis Stevenson
What an awesome statement. I find in working with companies and leaders that this is one of my core philosophies. As a coach and consultant I feel one of the biggest parts of my job is to help people and organizations with new thoughts. Maybe new beliefs or a new awareness. You see, it is hard to change or grow if no one has ever shared what that might look like. Our current beliefs and awareness tell us this might be as good as it gets. But, if someone can expose you to new thoughts. New beliefs. Expand your awareness, the possibilities are endless. I call this planting seeds. I have found that when you plant the seeds of new possibilities it takes some time to settle in. To take root. To grow before we can begin to act on our new realities and possibilities.
Planting seeds. I love it. It is so amazing to watch the seeds take root and to be a part of a persons new journey or a companies new opportunity to grow and expand. I’m going to try to plant a few more seeds today. What about you??
