I got a chance to watch a post on Facebook recently that was very impactful. (https://m.facebook.com/mountainwestchurch/). Pastor Michael did a great job of reminding us it’s OK.
In these uncertain and trying times we all respond and react differently to this crisis and that’s OK. Some of us, like me, want to push forward, grow, inspire, equip and try to focus on opportunities and getting ready for the new future. Others need to think, ponder, reflect and unpack some challenging emotions. We all need to understand (especially talking to myself today) that the way each of our personalities respond to challenge and crisis is OK.
Let’s give ourselves some grace that it is Ok that we haven’t done all the things on our “Down Time” wish list or task list. Let’s take a deep breath. Put on some good encouraging music and take hope that things will get better soon. If we do not get everything done on our list or we wish we could respond like some other people we know but we just can’t, that’s OK. Let’s give ourselves a little grace and mercy and not be so hard on ourselves.
If you need more time. If you need a nap. If you need a Hershey bar. If you need to pray. If you need to call a friend. If you need to slow down and shorten your task list. It’s OK!
You got this! Go crush it today! But if you need a nap, it’s OK!
