The Five D’s: Rob with One Hope
The Five D’s – the process of measuring. Gather, Track, Measure.
- Discover – Find out what’s really going on and who is doing something about it.
- Design – Develop a strategy that begins with the end in mind and builds on your strengths, not your weaknesses.
- Deploy – Implement your plan. Start small, fail soon, and adjust often.
- Document – Measure to make sure that your intended outcomes are being accomplished.
- Dream – Start the cycle over, expanding what works and abandoning what doesn’t.
Great stuff. I am finding with a lot of my clients that we have become so busy and so focused on our overwhelming task list, that we keep our head down, working super hard, but forget to look up to see where we are going. We have not taken the time to get Clarity. ( https://www.choiceconsultingman.com/clarity/) Where are we going? Are we getting there? Have we communicated this to our team? Are we measuring and reviewing our results?
Insanity says we will keep working hard and things will change or improve. We need to carve out some time to rise above the day-to-day, to rise above the mountain of task on our list and get some Clarity. We then need to decide how we will measure, track, review and adjust on a weekly or monthly basis.
You got this!! Carve out a few minutes a week to work on your business. Make sure you, and everyone on your team, has clear direction and we know where we are going and what we are trying to achieve and we measure, review and adjust consistently to stay on point. If you need help on your next steps, let me know. bmink@choiceconsultingman.com
