I have to let you fight! I just won’t let you lose.
Great thought I heard a few weeks ago about this journey called life. You do realize that tribulation can do a lot of great things for us. I know you are thinking are you crazy. Who wants tribulations? Bad stuff. Tough stuff. Hard stuff. Unfair stuff. Well I guess none of us really do but that means we could miss a lot.
How awful would it be if a baby thought it was just too hard to walk so I’ll just crawl the rest of my life. What if your 5 year old decided the bicycle was too hard so she just rode a tricycle until she was 15. What if you decided that changing boyfriends or girlfriends is just too hard so I’ll just keep the first one and marry them. All these situations sound a little silly don’t you think? But that is what it would be like if we just had smooth sailing everyday. That would be terrible.
How would you like to be stuck at 16 or 23 or 40 and never have the opportunity to take the next step. To never fully reach your full potential! To not really make the impact in this world you were born to make. That would be a terrible loss. So pick yourself up and get back in there. You can do it. You can go another round!
I have to let you fight! I just won’t let you lose
Jessie Eubanks says
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12 KJV
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Corinthians 9:25-27 KJV
Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
1 Corinthians 3:13 KJV
