I think sometimes it seems like we have turned our responsibility over to the other people in our lives. You do realize that giving love is a choice. The feelings of love can be strong or weak but to give your love to someone is your choice. It is also your choice to hold back your love from someone. When you hear someone say I just don’t love them anymore, they have made a choice. They have made a decision to stop giving their love.
The story was shared that you can really see unconditional love that is given in the relationship between parents and children. When that child has an upset stomach in the middle of the night and the parent sits by the toilet with them while all the food from the last few days goes flying everywhere and you find yourself picking things off your pajamas. That’s love. That is a choice. So before you place the blame on someone else, make sure you understand that you are making the decision to give your love or hold back your love. Your choice.
