Involvement then Committment

With out involvement there is no commitment. No involvement, no commitment! Stephen Covey

I think we as leaders and managers never really understand the power of the heart. Instead of telling people what to do and how to do it we should engage their brain, their skill, their creativity, their heart if we really want amazing results. Get them involved! If you can share the “WHY” about the situation, the goal or the outcome and why we are on this journey and let the person begin to dream about the solution, the process, how to get those results we need then we are really getting somewhere.

I have a new person on our team that shared just today that she could not stop dreaming about the new job and all the possibilities and how excited she is. Our current journey is to create a great Lead Generator program for a national retail chain and we are just at the beginning stages and I have challenged her with helping us to get things set up and our systems and processes in place to be amazing. I’m only sharing what I think it can look like and then letting her run with it and just keeping tabs on the progress every few days and adjusting if needed. So exciting.

If you can tap into someone’s heart, you will get the entire person, their creativity, their buy in and a huge commitment to helping you create something amazing!
