Significant Problems

Significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.  Stephen Covey

In his book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Covey shares the Personality Ethic where we act and react based on circumstances and feelings as opposed to values and integrity. The problems created as we struggle with doing life through the Personality Ethic are deeper more fundamental problems. When we allow what people think, what our environment is or our belief in what others say about us it creates a very deep rooted challenge that can be tough to deal with and move from.

Significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them. We need a new level, a deeper level of thinking – a paradigm shift. A paradigm and thought process based on principles and character. We are not what our circumstances or past say we are. We are not defined by what people say about us. We are not defined by our successes or failures. We define ourselves from the inside-out. Our gifts, our passions, our hopes, our dreams and what we can become and will become.

Let’s start today to begin to shift our paradigm. To shift our thoughts and feelings from the outside influences and voices to our internal voices that allow us to be whatever we want to be. The page of your life tomorrow is blank so let’s start scripting a new and amazing story. You can do This!
