From “Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn” by John Maxwell
John shares that there are two kinds of people as it relates to setbacks; Splatters who hit bottom, fall apart and stay on bottom: and Bouncers who hit rock bottom, pull themselves together and bounce back up. Which category do you find your self in? John reminds us that success lies in having made the effort; failure lies in never having tried. Most failures are people who have the habit of making excuses.
Let us consider the bigger picture of this journey called life. Have you ever considered that the failure or set back is the stepping stone to the next opportunity? Have you taken some time to think about what went wrong? Have you asked yourself what you would do different or what should I be learning from this challenge? Maybe start the process of Bouncing! What can I do to adjust or change? Maybe my goal or the results I was looking for were way off target. Maybe I didn’t have a goal so I’m not exactly sure if the results are off. But, don’t give up!
Let’s not Splatter! We get no where falling a part. We get no where giving up! You got this! Gather a few people you trust and Debrief! Review what you were planning, review what happened or did not happen. Get some insight and input and erase the old board and start with your new plan. Your new goals. The new outcome you want to achieve and start again. Bounce!
Let’s take the next 30 days and start Bouncing. Let’s shake off the news. Let’s shake off inflation. Let’s shake off the interest rates and let’s start moving to our new destiny! Our new desired outcome!
You got this!! Go Bounce!!
