Where there is a challenge there is opportunity.
Do you consider yourself a glass half empty person or a glass half full person. Most situations we run across in life we gauge by our perspective. Our filter. Our bent. Is it really a problem or a chance to learn something new. Maybe be stretched. Is it a challenge or an oppprtunity? It all depends on our perspective! Glass have empty=problem. Glass half full=opportunity.
Most of the time we can’t drastically change the situation anyway so if we are going to struggle through it, we might as well learn something. Grow. Be stretched. Maybe become a better person, friend, spouse, employee or team member in the process.
In reading David and Goliath by Gladwell it is amazing how many people have taken the glass half full, opportunity not challenge, attitude to overcome incredible, catastrophic circumstances. Every response we make in life is a Choice and better Choices Create better outcomes.
So maybe this week take a look at some of those trials and tribulations and ask, “What opportunity does this create for me”? Maybe your challenge is your stepping stone to your next opportunity!
