Devotion Leads to Courage!
Great line from the sermon this morning. (Great Job Pastor Micheal. Mwchurch.com). I’m not sure I ever really processed the weight of this thought before. It makes sense if I am really devoted to the cause, the initiative, the new direction it will influence me to have a little more courage to step out and push forward.
But, if I’m not devoted, not bought in, not fully invested it creates a much more laid back, lack of motivation, lack of pushing things forward attitude. The tension and the lack of everyone moving forward as a team causes frustration, hurt feelings, lack of progress as we struggle against each other.
My coaching is let’s be divided when we meet behind closed doors but let’s be united as we move out to influence and change the organization. We need to always understand the organization is more important than the individual. Let’s argue, discuss, disagree but then make the choice to support the agreed upon decision to move forward and get devoted. Because!
Your devotion will lead to a new level of courage!
