Discipline

I know for me, one of my stress relievers is to start checking boxes. Just start working and completing task. It seems to make me fell better. But what I find is that I’m not working on the most important things. It really takes some self awareness and self-discipline to keep the focus on the most important things. The constant weight of the huge amounts of things we need to do every day start to wear on us and  distract us from spending time on the more important, more impactful tasks.  But what I have found is what is important, what I focus on, what I spend my time and energy on is what gets accomplished.

No Limits by John Maxwell reminds us that we are the biggest restraint for our journey.  It is when we allow ourselves to be distracted by the important things but not work on and focus on the Most Important things. The things that create new opportunities and growth. So let’s start 2022 with our list of the top 3 things we need to accomplish over the next 90 days and then let’s exercise some self-discipline to put these tasks on our calendar and set aside some time to work on and focus on these most important initiatives that may create the biggest impact for you, your family, your department or your organization.
