Don’t burn out, keep yourself fueled and aflamed. Cheerfully expectant.
Great line from Romans 12.
Sometimes I think we allow those around us to influence our journey. They might say things like, it wasn’t your fault, that was not fair, what do they expect, you gave it your best, they should not expect that from you after everything you’ve been through. Sounds a little bit like excuses or looking for some sympathy.
It really struct me today what the good book says about our responsibility. “Don’t burn out, keep yourself fueled and aflamed. Cheerfully expectant!” We need to understand we have the responsibility to keep ourselves fueled up. Learning, reading, expanding, growing, serving, resting, helping, supporting.
This journey called life requires us to pour into ourselves and to continue to be cheerfully expectant about what is next or what opportunities or challenges lie ahead.
Don’t burn out, keep yourself fueled and aflamed. Cheerfully expectant!
