Every organization has its unique set of irrational and difficult constraints, yet some make a leap while others facing the same environmental challenges do not. This is perhaps the single most important point of all of Good to Great. Greatness is not a function of circumstances. Greatness, as it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice, and discipline.
Good to Great, Jim Collins
Have you found yourself buying into what the media is selling? Inflation is killing us. Interest rates are killing us. There is no way we will be able to hit our goals with the current reality around us. I have some clients that are struggling with results, and other clients, in the same industry, crushing it. Can I just encourage you to stop listening to those outside voices and refocus on who you are, and what you are trying to achieve. Refocus your energy and efforts with finding solutions or new systems, processes, marketing and even sales techniques to overcome these obstacles.
Remember, Greatness is largely a matter of conscious choice, and discipline.
