Priority Management. How to maximize your time.
Work expands to fill the time available for its completion. Parkinson’s Law
We all need to develop an overall understanding of how to better manage time, tasks and calendars, as well as techniques to improve and maximize the productivity of these techniques on a daily basis. Here are a few tips:
Planning
- Spend 10-15 minutes at the end of every day or the beginning of everyday to review, adjust and prepare for today or tomorrow.
- Make sure all previous commitments and meetings are on your calendar first.
- Make sure the most important task that need to be completed are always listed at the top of your task list. Review task list. Move incomplete items to another day to work on. Cross off or delete completed items
- Review notes taken at meetings or from presentations and add items to the task list for an appropriate day or time
- Make a note of task that are incomplete, and need follow up and add to your future schedule or calendar as needed

I find this is my biggest struggle every day! All the loose ends that creep up and snag all the small bits and pieces of time I should have available that just disintegrates throughout each day.. Previewing and preparing daily will make a huge difference in my life struggles!

Agree John. Developing the new habit of controlling my time instead of letting things and people tell me where to go and what to do is a huge challenge. You got this!!
