- Forget about yourself and focus on others. Uncertainty tends to make us focus inward which perpetuates and empowers our fears. The best strategy is to do the opposite and try to expand your connections with others.
- Forget about your commodity; focus on relationships. Move from worrying about your job or what you sell to working on the power and possibilities of your relationships. Family, friends, team members, suppliers, clients, customers and prospects.
- Forget about the sale; focus on creating value. Work on solutions instead of selling. How can you help them eliminate dangers, capture opportunities and reinforce strengths.
- Forget about your losses; focus on your opportunities. Don’t try to play the old game, start a new game. New ideas, new energies, new tools and new resources. As the world changes, opportunities suddenly become available to achieve far more than you did in the past.
- Forget about your difficulties; focus on your progress. Things may not be as easy as they once were but new difficulties produce new opportunities for growth. Your muscles always get stronger from working against resistance. The same is true for the muscles in your mind, your spirit and your character. Treat this whole period of time as a time when you can make your greatest progress as a human being.
