We will do any what, if the why is big enough!
I think clarity may be the number one issue facing companies, churches and people. We have not taken the time to look at where we are and where we want to go. If we don’t know where we are going it is super hard to explain why we need to be doing the “what” we are working on or that “what” we are asking them to do.
Where do you want to be in 10 years? In 5 years? In the next 3 years? 12 months from today? If you have not taken the time to figure out who you want to be and where you want to be then how do you know what you need to be focused on, working on, today. Pretty sure it is more reactive than proactive and planned.
If I’m clear on where we are going and I know why what I’m doing is contributing to the journey to help me/ us get there, then I’m much more focused on doing the “what” with more intensity and passion. Ever been unsure of what the next step needs to be? Ever had someone on the team that always seem to be struggling with their performance and getting things done? It is usually clarity. People being unsure is a motivation and work killer.
Let’s spend some time knowing where we are going so we can explain the why! Let make sure everyone on the team knows what they are doing and why it is so important.
