It has become clear to me that the loudest voice I must overcome on my journey is my own. Yes there are people around me that cast doubt and uncertainty but by far the loudest voice is mine. I don’t know about you but my voice says things like “You can’t apply for that job, you don’t have enough experience.” You can’t ask them on a date. you aren’t cute enough and you don’t have your life together.” “You better not speak up in the meeting, you might embarrass yourself.” You can’t ask for that price, they will think it is way too expensive.”
Wow! Do we understand that is our voice talking to us? So, it is time to tell that voice to shut up. I’m going to take a chance, to take a leap of faith and try it anyway. 95% of what we worry about never happens anyway. so let’s go for it. Let’s try the rest of this week telling that voice to be quiet and try it. You can do this.
